Exactly what I was looking for. I needed to talk - and she sat and listened and gave real advice. Not sugar-coated, not harsh, just real. There was no rush. She sat with me until I was sure I had no more questions.
The offices are clean and pleasant, most of the staff was really nice. The receptionist is a bit too much to handle and had a real attitude on her. The doctor was very nice, listened to everything and provided me with the answers I was looking for. Only thing I would say is that at my age, I've had many many pap smears and this one was by far the most uncomfortable. I felt the doctor was a little rough... but I'll definitely be going back to see her.
I said "hello" when she walked into the examination room and didn't get any sort of acknowledgment of my greeting. I thought it was a little odd and rude, but gave her the benefit of the doubt and dismissed it. Turns out my first impression was right--this woman is cold, uncaring, and has a terrible bedside manner. My simple, straightforward questions were met with attitude and condescension. She made me feel as though I were asking childish, idiotic questions and as though I were wasting her time while she zoomed through the examination. She didn't even bother to let me know that everything was fine after the basic pelvic exam, and just glided out the door after writing a quick prescription. Terrible bedside manner, apathetic, patronizing, and straight-out rude are some of the words I'd use to sum up my experience with this doctor.
GREAT GREAT GREAT! Sweet disposition, knowledgeable, professional--all good things.
She is very attentive and easy to speak to. Dr. Argawala is caring and takes time to listen to her patients then offers good advice an solutions.
The doctor was ok. Couldn't suggest a birth control for me and made me 'figure it out' which kind of defeats the purpose of having a doctor. I am extremely disappointed with her front of the house. When I called in for a prescription revision they were extremely rude. I don't know that if I had anything other than routine if I would go back. I only went cause it was near my job.
Nice office, friendly staff, Neena is very knowledgeable and helpful.
one great nurse, really efficient urine test. Long wait. grumpy receptionist. Not very good bedside manner. Basically come here if you care more about getting an appointment SOON than having the best OB-GYN. You'll get what you need, but it won't be inspiring.
I was satisfied and got all my answer answered.
Great, except wait time was longer than anticipated.
She is very nice and cares about the patient.
She's not comforting at all, and made me feel like I was wasting her time. As if my questions were uncalled for.
Very professional, caring, and informative.
She and her employees were very kind, informed, and accessible. They put forth a genuine effort to help people and are very good at it.
Good overall. The only unfortunate thing is that the first time around, they didn't have me on the schedule after I called the office to confirm and give them all of my information. The Doctor was very thorough, gentle, quick.
Nice doctor.answered all my questions
She was cold and distant. Not very personable. I would not return to see her.
She is incredibly efficient, but doesn't rush. She explains exactly what she is doing, and if there is a diagnoses, she is very clear about what that is. I'm so glad I found her!
Very professional and compassionate
Extremely helpful, thoughtful and professional. I would recommend her any day as she reminds me of my family practitioners when I was growing up. Finding a doctor you can trust that is patient and responsive is difficult to find in NY.
She carefully explained the problem and discussed all options to resolve the problem. She did not rush and answered all my questions
Was thoughtful, informative and made me feel extremely comfortable. Highly recommended.
Neena was very quick and didn't engage much with making me feel comfortable about my setting or the procedure. There's nothing wrong with getting the job done. If you're in a hurry and just need a quick check up go to Neena. However, if it's your first time I'd suggest someone who is a little more empathetic and someone who describes what he/she is doing before continuing.
Dr Agarwala herself was a very pleasant doctor. Her office staff and billing office on the other hand were the worst I have ever had to deal with! Specially the office manager Kristine. After repeated billing issues, and repeated phone calls that were never followed up on, when I finally called the office to be able to speak with a manager, they kept me on hold forever. Kristine refused to come on the line, even if to just explain to me that she would not be able to help and was very rude in the background. I could hear her talking about me. No one apologized even once or bothered to ask if there was a special reason why I might need to speak to someone immediately. Obviously, I wasn't calling them so desperately just because I had nothing else to do! But they did not even bother to check that. Completely not professional, very very rude people and very selfish. They all try to blame each other and nobody follows up with you. No one is willing to help or even speak with you properly. It was my worst experience at a doctor's office - a place that is supposed to be in charge of your health care and well being really needs to realize the role they are supposed to play. And Kips Bay Gynecology was not at all understanding, patient or cooperative. Not the people I want involved in my health care!
She was very nice and addressed all of my questions.
I went to see her for hair loss consultation. Her name came up when I looked up doctors for that paticular purpose. When I saw her, she said she doesn't do hair loss consultation and she was confused. She anyway gave me some general advice I could find online and charged my insurance company for that. She should have not done the consultation if she doesn't do it.
For whatever reason my appointment never made it onto their schedule through ZocDoc. So when I walked in at 6:45pm the receptionist and Dr. Styler (who I'm sure were both ready to leave for the day) stayed to take care of me. The office was clean and beautiful. Dr. Styler was wonderful and did the entire appointment alone, since all the nurses had left. I didn't feel rushed at all, and she listened and answered all my questions. My experience at Kips Bay Gynecology was excellent and I will be sure to recommend it to all of my friends.
Doctor Argarwala is extremely knowledgable and professional. I had been to a number of other doctors before her who simply wrote prescriptions and told me to be on my way. On my first visit with Doctor Argarwala she spent an hour with me discussing treatment options and setting up a detailed plan of attack for a chronic disease I had recently been diagnosed with. I was so relieved to finally find someone who took the time to get to know me, asked questions and followed up, sometimes two to three times a week, to see how I was doing. My disease is now under control. I am so thankful for Dr. Argarwala's help.
was seen very quickly. she was professional but not cold, and efficient but not rushed.
Very pleasant experience. Have begun referring to coworkers
She was really helpful and answered all my questions. She talked to me but didn't waist my time for an unnecessary small talk. Just what I needed.
Dr. Agarwala was incredibly sweet. She was courteous and patient, but efficient.
I felt very comfortable she explains things well
Dr. Agarwala was pleasant and professional, thorough but efficient. The staff was nice, as well, and the wait wasn't bad. I would definitely return.
She was very straight-forward and nice. I had several things that I wanted to talk about, and it quickly got done.
Dr Agarwala was perfect. She was efficient and friendly.
I felt the entire visit to be a bit awkward. She seemed tired and was not very friendly. Also, the reception desk said they had called to get my insurance info but that was not the case. Make sure to call ahead of your appointment to give them all of that info.
The receptionist was efficient and sent me for a urine sample while she got the paperwork done and then put me in the queue while I was filling everything out. I was taken in less than a minute from when I paid my co-pay and I Dr. Agarwala saw me within 5 minutes of the nurse leaving the room. She was quick, efficient, but caring. I was at the doctor's office for a total of 50 minutes. Wow!
She is very nice doctor. She short out my all problems. I am very happy to go their
The doctor was great. She answered all my questions and concerns. Note to all ZocDoc users though -- you must call the office days before your appointment to verify all your info, otherwise they'll cancel your appointment.
Feel like the doctor was rushing and didn't really care much about the patient.
Contrary to reviews I've seen elsewhere for doctors at this location, I found the desk staff to be really pleasant. Dr. Agarwala was all business and very efficient, informative, and open to questions. I'd recommend her to others.
It was my first time visiting a gynocologist and she was nothing short of respecful kind informative and warm!
I went for an annual exam and I did not have to wait. Dr. Agarwala was excellent.
Dr. Agarwala is great. She answered all my questions, kept me at ease, and was very fast and efficient.
Let me tell you... I'm hard to please. However, This woman is awesome as well as her friendly staff. I always have felt rushed by OBGYN's, but Dr. Agarwala took her time to hear my concerns and together we discussed my health options. If you seek a Dr. who truly cares, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Agarwala. :-)
The experience was fine, nothing unusual, nothing alarming and nothing spectacular either.
I felt very comfortable and recieved answers to my questions very patiently. Thank you
Very personable - Dr Agarwala made me feel very at home and relaxed, answered all my questions and I left feeling very at ease. Thank you!
Doctor Agarwala is such a sweetheart. She makes you feel so comfortable. I would recommend her to anyone.
