So upon arrival, the front desk staff did not acknowledge that I had come into the office. After greeting them andtelling them I was here for my appointment, they told me to sign in and handed me additional paperwork. I mentioned I had filled out my paperwork on ZocDoc and the receptionist said the paperwork was different. It wasn’t except for the consent on the last 2 pages. I waiting 15mins past my appointment time to be called. The nurse was not rude but she wasn’t friendly either. I definitely felt like a number. Once in the room, she quickly took my vitals as if she had better things to do (there was 1 other person in the waiting room by the way). Dr. Kamenetsky arrived and greeted me warmly. She asked questions as to my normal routines/habits and then began her assessment. She informed me of everything she was doing and then discussed, without rushing, what she observed and other things. She made sure I didn’t have any other questions. In comes the nurse for discharge, she handed me my lab form and told me I can go to quest or the lab in the building. When I asked if it would cost in the building or if I had to go to Quest (based on my insurance) she said, dismissively, that it depends on what I want to do. I went upstairs to the lab since I had fasted all day and the lab receptionist informed me that based on the codes it should be covered. Lastly, parking was not favorable and you had to pay. Seems like you pay your insurance premiums to see the doctors and then you also have to pay parking to see them. I don’t like how that cost is issued down to the patient. Overall, I enjoyed Dr. Kamenetsky, but her staff need some serious training in customer service.
